'Swami Nithyananda is in Kumbh Mela'

While the police are still looking for Swami Nithyananda who is believed to be absconding, the official spokesperson for Nityananda Dhyanapeetam ashram told a news agency that the spiritual leader is not in hiding but has gone to attend the Kumbh Mela.

The spokesperson, Swami Athmakrubananda also said that Nithyananda would meet the press 'when required'.

The Swamiji found himself in the middle of a raging controversy when a sex tape of him fondling a Tamil actress Ranjitha surfaced on Tuesday, Mar 2.
