SSC Stenographer Grade (C&D) Examination 2010 Result

STAFF SELECTION COMMISSION Stenographer Grade (C&D) Examination, 2010 Declaration of Written Result to call the candidates for Skill Test (Stenographer Grade ‘C’ Only). Staff Selection Commission conducted the Stenographer Grade (C&D) Examination, 2010 on 9.1.2011 at various centres all over the country. Written result in respect of Stenographer Grade ‘D’ was declared on 25.1.2011, wherein, it was mentioned that the candidates to called for skill test for the post of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ will be declared in due course.

2. Following is the list of 2328 candidates in roll number order who have qualified provisionally in the written part of the examination for Skill Tests for the post of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ subject to their fulfilling all eligibility conditions and also correctness of the information furnished by them in their applications. The cut-off fixed and availability of candidates under different categories is as under:

3. The results are purely provisional and subject to the recommended candidates fulfilling all the eligibility conditions prescribed for the post in the Notice of Examination and also subject to thorough verification of their identity with reference to their photographs, signatures, handwritings, etc., on the application forms, admission certificates, etc. The candidature of the candidates are liable to be cancelled by respective Regional Directors in case of the candidates found not fulfilling the eligibility conditions or for any other genuine reasons.
4. For candidates belonging to reserved categories for whom certain percentage of vacancies are reserved as per Government Policy, the category status is indicated against their Roll Numbers. It is important to note that most of these candidates have been declared qualified only for the category mentioned against their Roll Numbers. If any candidate does not actually belong to the category mentioned against his/her name, he/she may not be eligible to be included in the list. It is, therefore, in the interest of the candidates concerned to immediately contact the respective Regional Office of the Commission in all such cases where they do not belong to the category shown against their Roll Numbers.
5. The Skill Test are scheduled to commence tentatively from 2nd fortnight of March, 2011 for programme of individual regional offices of the Commission, candidates are advised to follow concerned regional office website. In this connection the following points are brought to the notice of the candidates. Skill Test in Stenography:
a) The Skill Test will be taken on computers.
b) The Skill Test would be qualifying in nature. The candidates will have to appear for the stenography test. The candidates will be given one dictation for 10 minutes in English/Hindi at the Speed of 100 w.p.m. for the post of Stenographer Grade ‘C’. The transcription time is as under:-
English – 40 minutes
Hindi – 55 minutes
c) There is no exemption from Skill Test for any category of candidates.

d) If the candidates had not indicated the medium of Stenography Test at relevant place in the application form, the Commission will consider English as the medium of Stenography Test for such candidates and candidates will not be allowed to change the medium at subsequent stage.

e) VH candidates will be required to transcribe the matter in 70 minutes for English Shorthand or in 95 minutes for Hindi Shorthand for the post of Stenographer Grade ‘C’.
f) The Skill Test will be held at Commission’s Regional /Sub-Regional Offices or at other centres as may be decided by the Commission.

The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) is constituted under a 1980 Act of Parliament, the Company Secretaries Act (Act No. 56 of 1980). ICSI is the only recognized professional body in India to develop and regulate the profession of Company Secretaries in India. The Institute of Company Secretaries of India awards the certificate bestowing the designation of Company Secretary (CS) to a candidate qualifying for the membership of the Institute. It was in 1960 that the Company Law Board started a course in Company Secretaryship leading to the award of Government Diploma in Company Secretaryship. As the number of students taking up the Company Secretaryship course grew, the Government promoted on 4th October, 1968, Institute of Company Secretaries of India under Section 25 of the Companies Act, 1956 for taking over from the Government the conduct of Company Secretaryship examination. The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has since been converted into a statutory body w.e.f. 1.1.1981 under the Company Secretaries Act, 1980. (2) Junior Engineering Assistant- IV (Power & Utilities):- Working in rotating shifts and operating different type of equipments i.e. Pumps, Compressors, Boilers, Turbines, Cooling Tower etc. along with monitoring their parameter during shifts.(3) Junior Engineering Assistant- IV- (Fire&Safety):- Working in shifts with Jobs pertaining to Prevention of Fire & Ensuring Safety of the Refinery, monitoring, operation, and co-ordination with control room and other allied jobs assigned from time to time.

– Pay Scale & Emoluments: Above posts are in Salary Grade IV in pay scale of Rs. 11900-32000/-. In addition to Basic Pay, DA and HRA other benefits like PF, gratuity, LTC, liberalised medical benefits, productivity/performance linked incentive, leave encashment, conveyance allowance, superannuation benefits, post retirement medical benefits, Employees’ Pension Scheme under PF, company quarters, children education benefits etc. shall also be admissible as per rules of the Corporation. At present total monthly emoluments at the minimum of the scale will be Rs. 22,000/- approx.

– Age Limit : Minimum 18 years and maximum 26 years (relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates & 3 years for OBC candidates) and Ex-servicemen as per rules. Age is to be calculated as on 01st Dec 2010 for Junior Engineering Assistant- IV- (Fire&Safety), whereas, for other posts it is to be calculated as on 01st Jan 2011.

– Concessions/Relaxation: (1) Relaxation in upper age limit by 5 years for SC/ST candidates & 3 years for OBC candidates. Age relaxation is also admissible to Ex-servicemen as per rules (2) The minimum standard of 60% Marks in qualification is relaxed to 55% for SC/ST. (3) Outstation SC/ST/ Ex-Servicemen candidates called for test/interview will be reimbursed to and fro second class rail/Bus fare by shortest route on production of ticket provided the distance is not less than 30 kms. (4) SC/ST/ Ex-servicemen candidates are exempted from payment of application fee.

–Any other relevant information: – Other things being equal, trained apprentices who have completed apprenticeship training in Mathura Refinery will be given preference over other candidates. Relaxation will be given in age limit to the extent of the period for which the apprentice had undergone apprenticeship training.

– Selection Methodology: The selection methodology will comprise of written test followed by Interview of the short listed candidates. Written test and interview shall be conducted at Mathura. Canvassing in any form will be considered a disqualification.

* Recruitment to the service after the commencement of these rules shall be made by the following methods, namely:
o By direct recruitment by selection, through competitive examination.
o By promotion of such members of service, as are specified in column 2 of schedule IV.
o By transfer of persons who hold in a substantive capacity such post in such service as may be specified in this behalf.
* The number of persons recruited under clause (b) or clause (c) of sub-rule (I) shall not, at any time exceed the percentage mentioned in schedule II of number of posts specified in Schedule I.
* Subject to the provisions of these rules, the method or methods for the purpose of filling any vacancy or vacancies in the service as may be required to be filled during any particular period of recruitment and the number of persons to be recruitment by each method, shall be determined on each occasion by the appointing authority.
* Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-rule (1), if in the opinion of the Appointing authority the exigency of the service so require, he may, with the prior concurrence of the General Administration Department adopt such method of recruitment to the service other than those specified in the said sub-rule as it may, by order issued in these behalf prescribe.
* Candidate desiring for recruitment should apply by submitting an application in the form prescribed by the government to the district superintendent of police concerned for competitive examination to be admitted in the selection procedure.
* The candidate must specifically mention, in the application form for recruitment the name of the post for which he desires. The name of only such candidates who have specifically expressed their consent for recruitment to posts to the technical Sub-Inspector (Radio)/(Finger Print)/(Questioned Documents) and who posses qualification mentioned in schedule-III shall only be considered.
* Female candidates shall be eligible for recruitment only for the post of Lady Sub Inspectors.
* Giving wrong information or hiding of any factual information in application form by the applicant shall be deemed to be a disqualification. On such act the candidate shall have no right of appointment or continue in service under the Government and his service shall be terminated forthwith by the appointing authority without giving any notice.
* The procedure of selection by competitive examination under clause (a) of sub-rule (1) shall be as follows:
o Measurement of physical standard: The physical test of the candidate shall be conducted according to the minimum qualification as specified in sub-rule (2) of rule 8.
o Note:- In case of any dispute with regard to physical measurement, the decision of the Chief Medical Officer of the District shall be final.
o Written examination: The duration of written examination, will be two hours, and to test the proficiency in Hindi and English shall be of hundred mark i.e. Hindi 70 marks, English 30 marks.
o General Knowledge examination shall be of 100 marks and the duration of which will be 2 hours.
o Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry examination shall be of 100 marks and the duration of which will be 2 hours. This examination shall be compulsory only for such candidates who have applied for recruitment for the post of Sub Inspector (Radio)/(Finger Print)/(QD) as specified in Schedule-III.
o Note:- Written examination under sub clause (a) and (b) of clause (ii) is compulsory for all candidates. By adding the marks obtained in the examination of the first stage a separate merit list one for Subedar, Sub Inspector and Platoon Commander and another for Sub Inspector (Technical) shall be prepared in which the candidates numbering five times the number of vacant posts advertised shall be called for examination of second stage. Last candidate, on whom five-times-number is completed and all those candidates who obtained marks more than or equal to this candidate shall be admitted to the second stage Method of recruitment irrespective of the number exceeding the stipulated five times number.
o Physical Proficiency Test:- This test is compulsory for all candidates. This test shall be of 100 marks and shall include following items: (a) Long Jump 20 Marks (b) High Jump 20 Marks (c) Shot Put 20 Marks (d) 100 meter race 20 Marks (e) 1500 meter race 20 Marks Details of statement of marks to be awarded in each event are specified in Schedule
Interview:- Personal Interview shall be of 50 marks

Eligibility Criteria :
• BE/B.Tech/MCA/M.Sc/MS with minimum 2/3 years (w.r.t. skill) of relevant experience post Qualification IT- Experience.
• B.Sc Graduates with minimum 3 / 4 years (w.r.t. skill) of relevant experience post qualification IT Experience.
• Only Full Time courses would be considered.
• Consistent academic records Class X onwards (Minimum 50%).
