Tamil Nadu Director of Technical Education (TNDTE) Published the Diploma 3/4/5 Regular and Supplementary Exam Result 2010
Diploma holders are permitted to join B.E Degree courses under Lateral Entry System. They undergo the course from the second year of the four year Degree programme. The intake is lilmited to 10% of the B.E. / B.Tech. approved intake. Applications will be invited by the Directorate of Technical Education from the eligible candidates and allotment is made based on merit, communal reservation.
Ten Institutes of Catering Technology and Hotel Management offering 3 year Diploma courses are also affiliated to this Directorate. The candidates who complete the Xth Standard are eligible for admission for Polytechnic Colleges and XIIth Standard for Catering Institutions. Before the admission process is started, the required qualifications such as Age, Marks required, Number of Seats in the various categories etc. are published in the leading dailies so that students can decide their choice of Polytechnic, Course etc. well in advance.
